On Wednesday 21st September, Sarah will be supporting Grammy-winning, American songwriting legend Jimmy Webb at The Stables in Milton Keynes. She will be performing new original material from her debut album 'Say Hello To You', as well as selling signed copies of the album after the show.
Grammy-winning songwriter Jimmy Webb has topped the charts with hits across genres for the last five decades --pop, country and disco-- with songs including MacArthur Park, Up, Up and Away, All I Know, Didn’t We, Highwayman and Worst That Could Happen, and artists ranging from Richard Harris to Frank Sinatra, from Linda Ronstadt to Art Garfunkel. Perhaps the most enduring partnership is his musical brotherhood with Glen Campbell which produced hits Wichita Lineman, By the Time I Get to Phoenix and Galveston-- just for starters.
Jimmy Webb: The Glen Campbell Years celebrates this friendship alongside the 80+ recordings from the Webb / Campbell songbook. With his trademark humour and storytelling, Webb shares anecdotes about his collaborations with Campbell, revealing the personal side to generational touchstones like Honey Come Back. This night will demonstrate the singular talents of these two pop icons and the indelible mark their symbiotic craftsmanship made on music worldwide. Campbell and Webb are Still on the Line.
